“It’s been an incredible year for the visual effects industry. From the epic conclusion of the Avengers’ story in Endgame to the ground-breaking CGI in Game of Thrones’ final season, the work produced at studios all around the world hasn’t ceased to amaze. As audience members, we at Cospective have been blown away by the quality up on the screen. And as facilitators of that creative process, we’ve also felt incredibly proud that we’ve been able to do our part to make filmmaker’s lives that much simpler in the creation of such extraordinary works of art.
“2019 has been incredible for Cospective as a company, too – not only in terms of what we’ve achieved but also as a jumping-off point to the exciting things we have planned for the year ahead. We joined forces with ftrack in October of this year, which was a massive milestone in our company history. It’s going to have a hugely positive impact on everything we do across 2020.
“But before I get ahead of myself, I thought we’d take a quick moment to look back and celebrate a few of our other big successes from over the year, so let’s dive in!
“Here’s to more collaboration, more creativity, and more thrilling experiences up on the screen in 2020.”
– Rory McGregor, previously Cospective CEO, now ftrack’s General Manager, Australia
We joined forces with ftrack!
In what was undoubtedly our most significant announcement of 2019, Cospective joined forces with ftrack – creator of the project management, production tracking, and media review platform used by creatives the world over.
Since the acquisition, we’ve been working very closely and sharing knowledge to devise new and improved ways for creatives to collaborate more seamlessly than ever. We’re not able to say much yet, but rest assured that there is news to come. Watch this space

Here are a few highlights from the year – check out our blog to see the full list! Thanks to all who took the time to chat with us about their work.

We set off for SIGGRAPH 2019
This July, we joined ftrack in Los Angeles, California to discuss the latest in cineSync, meet with customers, and learn about the latest industry trends. It was a great show, and we’d like to extend our thanks to all who dropped by the booth or met with us for a coffee. We look forward to meeting again at next year’s show!
We set the stage for 2020
2020 will be one of the most compelling in our company history. We’re already working with ftrack to offer around-the-clock support for cineSync and Frankie, but that’s just the start of a relationship that’s going to bring new ideas, features, and concepts to the table. Over 2020 expect a lot of big news from the global ftrack organization and us here at what is now ftrack Australia. Again, we can’t say too much just yet, but we’ll be able to shed some light on it all soon.
We’re excited about what is to come, and we look forward to continuing this journey with you, our customers. cineSync wouldn’t be what it is without you, so we’d like to sign off with a massive thank you for all of your support, your feedback, and for continuing to believe in our mission. Here’s to more collaboration and creativity in 2020!
